Ascent
Is a group of four sister's Anna, Maria, Angela and Andrea whose faith has driven them to share their music with others. They grew up in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and have since moved to lower Michigan where they all currently live and teach. The group name Ascent comes from their devotion to Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, who was beatified by John Paul II in 1990 and is a superb role model for young adults. Pier Giorgio loved the outdoors, especially mountain climbing, and dedicated his life to climbing to the heights of holiness. Ascent's latest album, Toward the Heights, contains original music from the group that will hopefully inspire others to climb to those same heights in their own lives. The talent and faith of the four sisters, who's blend of powerful lyrics and beautiful harmonies create uplifting and truly inspiring music.
Mediatrix Records Release
Mark Cabrera & Nick Dalbis are the Production Team behind Ascent's sophomore effort, "Toward The Heights". Released on June 8th, 2007. In the May, 07 issue of the Catholic Music Zine, Leonard J. Mardeusz, formerly of Capital Records, said Toward The Heights "Should be one of the highlights of 2007. Watch for it."
