Mediatrix Records History

Mark Cabrera spent most of his life pursuing his dream of finding fame and success in the music business. He started out by playing rock music in various venues in the 1970's. This led to writing and recording original music in the 1980's and then to working and producing music in studios in Detroit, Los Angeles and New York in the 1990's. In the 2000's, encouraged by the success of the Protestant Christian music boom and national interest in returning to promoting family values, Mark saw an opportunity to open a recording studio to produce high quality Catholic music that would see the type of remarkable success seen currently in the contemporary Christian music industry. As Catholic music has been largely poorly recorded and poorly marketed, Mark felt that this is the right time to record and market Catholic artists to compete with the secular and protestant music industry on a national scale. Mediatrix Records was formed as a result.
